Crossing Lines is an international network of adventure athletes using slacklining to connect people across cultural divides. The original Crossing Lines project began when three Americans joined their Iranian teammates to establish new highlines (slacklines at heights) and host the first international highline festival in Iran. Crossing Lines continues it’s mission by teaching slacklining to refugees in Lebanon and the U.S. Slacklining builds confidence, balance, and focus. Communities naturally form around it by teaching and encouraging each other. The Crossing Lines community believes slacklining can change the lives of refugees and that we can change the way we see each other by sharing our stories.
We believe slacklining can aid in refugee resettlement and integration, offering a means to build a new community, learn languages, and play. Help us have an impact.
